The Wolves
by Sarah DeLappe

William Inge Memorial Theatre

Society, Sex, and Soccer Practices

A portrait, or shall we say “selfie,” of a girls’ soccer team as the players struggle to find their places as individuals belonging to a group and as members of a global community. In a series of pre-game warm-ups, nine girls get to know each other personally; through trauma they form an even closer bond. The Wolves offers a private window on teenage girls bouncing off each other in significant moments as they test their limits on the field and off. Nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in drama, The Wolves will be directed by Susan Kerner, a director and professor at Montclair State University, who has taught and directed nationally and internationally.
