Over Here!
Music & Lyrics by Richard M. Sherman & Robert B. Sherman, Book by Will Holt

The Crafton-Preyer Theatre

Set on the American home-front during World War II, singing sisters Paulette and Pauline de Paul want to raise the morale of the troops and look for their big break in show business, so they hop a train for a week-long trip from San Francisco to New York City. Also on board are army recruits headed for deployment to Europe, where the war is taking a turn for the worse. While helping the canteen provide the soldiers with cigarettes, drinks and encouragement, the two enlist the beautiful Mitzi as the third voice in their trio—unbeknownst to all that she is actually a German spy. Comedy, love and American patriotism ultimately overcome as the entire company sings and dances to the iconic big band sounds of the American 1940s. Director John Staniunas hopes audiences can connect with the nostalgia of the unified purpose and communal effort in Over Here! This 1974 Tony Award-winning musical, which originally starred the Andrews sisters, will warm your family's heart.
