The Big Meal
by Dan LeFranc

Stage Too!, The Crafton-Preyer Theatre

Set in numerous unspecified restaurants in America, The Big Meal tells the expansive story of five generations of a modern family through one unending metaphoric meal, starting from a young couple’s first meeting and expanding as the years pass to include parents, children, and grandchildren. A relationship play in the richest sense of the word, members of this family encounter such common—yet poignant—challenges as marital problems, parent/child strife, and coping with the loss of a loved one. The Big Meal is a theatrically innovative rendering of the universality of the American family. Expect humor and heartache as this off-Broadway hit serves up a veritable theatrical feast.

Directed by Peter Zazzali
